Tata Harrier EV Sees Massive Demand with Up to 30 Weeks Waiting Period
The Tata Harrier EV is witnessing strong market demand, with waiting periods stretching up to 30 weeks for select variants. The mid-size electric SUV is offered in five trims — Adventure, Adventure S, Fearless+, Empowered, and Empowered AWD — paired with 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery options. According to Motor Arena India, the Adventure S (65 kWh) variant has the longest wait of 28–30 weeks, while other 65 kWh models range between 18–21 weeks. Variants with the 75 kWh battery pack have shorter waiting periods of 12–15 weeks.
Starting at ₹21.49 lakh, the Harrier EV comes equipped with dual-motor AWD in its top variant, delivering ~313 PS and 0–100 km/h in 6.3 seconds. Key highlights include a 14.5” Neo QLED infotainment, Level-2 ADAS, JBL audio system, and six terrain modes for off-road driving. The larger 75 kWh battery claims a 622 km MIDC range and supports 120 kW fast charging.
However, drawbacks include limited boot space, spongy brake pedal feel, occasional software glitches, and a conservative exterior design. Despite this, the Harrier EV’s competitive pricing, feature richness, and 5-star Bharat NCAP rating make it a compelling option — provided buyers are willing to wait.
